Our story

Daily Grind started in 2014 as a two-person roastery in a rented garage, selling bags at the Saturday market. The stall had a line before we had a sign, and the question we heard most was where people could sit down and drink the stuff.

So in 2016 we took the lease on the old hardware store at Maple and Third, kept the pressed-tin ceiling and the long counter, and moved the roaster into the back room where the paint was mixed. We have been here ever since.

We buy from eleven farms across four countries, pay above the fair-trade floor on every lot, and publish what we paid each season. It is not complicated: good coffee comes from people who are paid properly for growing it.
